I am a qualified carpenter with 20 years experience. After my qualification I completed 2 Fas certified courses in advanced stair making and another in roofing. These were only available to qualified carpenters. Over the years, as my experience grew I turned my hand to craft work, joinery, art installations and sculpture. I'm currently based in Cork City.
I had to say something because you gave me an idea for a sculpture. I really like the idea of using mirrors in perspective art like in Eyck's "Arnolfini Double Portrait"... as for being critical; I like it but your piece seems to "contained" :)
ReplyDeleteThanks man.I know what you mean about it being contained but my initial idea failed.I had to construct four plinths and a crossword table for the show and ended up knocking this piece together in about an hour. better luck next time eh? Incidentally it was the only piece that sold at the exhibition.
